Hi

I am new to Winlog 3.1 and I have watched your tutorials on youtube to have a general idea how it works.
The problem is that I have connected a device, which works with rs 232 port to measure the water level via a sensor. The device is connected to the notebook through a usb data adapter. I made a test in the Modbus RTU and it seemed to had a connection but then had read errors 1 2 3 etc.

How can I read the data (water level) from this device?!

Thank you in advance
Best Regards

Dear Sir,
have you a modbus address and modbus register of your devices? Can you post your application? Export from Project Manager -> Project Menu -> Export.

Best regards

Hi

The device is a data-logger and works with Minilog Software (similar to Winlog 3) but I wanted to connect and read out the data with Winlog 3.
I am sending you the Project in zip file and the link of Minilog for more info (Manuali > VEDO/MINILOG/MYLOG):

PS: I don't know the modbus address or register --> that is the problem.
Thank you in advance
Best Regards

Hi

I want to buy a device that uses the protocol OPC.
Does Winlog access the hardware (device) with OPC protocol?! If so how does it work?

Best Regards
